Excursion program

On the way we will visit the village Circus, Cherkasy and Russian Tishky, we will get acquainted with the history of the emergence of these settlements, which played the role of a succession of border fortresses on the border of the Wild Field and the Moscow kingdom.

Lipzy. Liptsy is a former military settlement of the Kharkov province, founded in 1655 by Cossacks from B.Hmelnitsky's army who arrived in Slobozhanshchina. A hundred Kharkov regiment was based on the territory of Liptsev, defending the northern borders of the region from the devastating raids of the Crimean Tatars. Wooden-earthen fortifications were built in the village, the remains of which can be seen. Also in the village park there is a place of the Trinity Fair that operated from the 18th century.

The Church of the Nativity and the monument to the outstanding teacher of Kharkiv region P. Shchepkina, the place of the traveling palace of Empress Catherine II, the preserved posting fortress building (1873 g).

In the Kharkiv region there is a complex of the longest anthropogenic caves, dating from the beginning of the eighteenth century (total length of 900 meters). The stone extracted from the caves was used to close the old Moscow tract, the construction of which continued throughout the 18th century.
