The Ukrainian village Buzova

Not far from Kiev along Zhitomir highway there is an ethnographic complex "Ukrainian village". On the large and beautiful territory there are exhibits that give an idea of ​​the best traditions of the Ukrainian culture of the XIX century.


The ethnographic complex "Ukrainian village" in the village of Buzova is divided into thematic zones. The wooden church of St. Demetrius of Thessalonica meets visitors, which in essence gave the start and idea for the foundation of the museum in the open air. The temple is active. in it daily services are held. Here are the parish school and the grotto of the Icon of the Mother of God "The Life-giving Spring" with carved icons and mosaic.

In the museum "Ukrainian village" you will find houses and utility rooms from six historical and cultural regions of Ukraine: Slobozhanshchyna, Polissya, Podillya, Middle Dnieper, Carpathians and South Ukraine. There is also a unique collection of tools for rural field work.

On the territory of the "Ukrainian village" there is a small contact zoo where live nutria, ponies, wild boars, black swans. In addition, there is a hotel, a hut, many gazebos in the ethnocomplex, where you can sit down a big company and fry shish kebabs. And those who wish can take part in master classes on blacksmithing, baking bread, and prepare the Ukrainian people's amulet with their own hands.
