Museum of Ukraine in World War II Kiev

The museum exposition is dedicated to the history of the Second World War, the priority in it is the Ukrainian theme, Ukraine's contribution to the Victory over Nazism. The modern exposition of the Great Patriotic War Museum was created in 1994-1995 years, in new historical realities, in the conditions of the independent Ukrainian state.

The accent of the exposition is made on the Ukrainian theme, the contribution of Ukraine to the Victory over Nazism. In 16 halls of the museum with a total area of ​​5000 m. There are over 15 thousand museum items, including documents, personal belongings, weapons, photographs, banners, awards, letters, diaries, military equipment.

The exposition of all halls is thematically and chronologically combined by an accent pivot called "The Road of War". The exposition is divided into thematic halls, among which are the defense of Sevastopol, the occupation regime and concentration camps, the partisan movement in Ukraine, the Stalingrad and Kursk battles, the crossing of the Dnieper. The culmination of the exposition is the Memorial Hall with an 27-meter memorial table on which are placed the things of the front life, embroidered towels, notices-funerals.
