The most important sight of Uzhgorod is the castle, which dates back to the end of the 10th century. He many times rebuilt, strengthened, changed the owners and was never taken by storm.

Next to the castle is the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, which displays ancient Transcarpathian dwellings, houses, outbuildings, religious buildings, among which the 22-meter three-domed wooden Lemko church of the Archangel Michael stands out.

The main Christian shrine, a landmark and a visiting card of the city of Uzhhorod - Krestovozdvizhensky temple. The cathedral was built by the Jesuits, and in 1973 passed to the Greek Catholics. Two symmetrical domes are crowned with bell towers with huge bells weighing 1 and 3 tons.
