The speleosanatorium "Salt Symphony"

Since May 2007 in the city of Soledar, Donetsk region, the "Salt Symphony" has started to receive patients for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of patients suffering from various diseases of the bronchopulmonary system (except oncology and tuberculosis).

This deposit of rock salt is being developed from 1871 year. The geological age of the deposit is 230 million years, and the chemical composition of this salt has no analogues in the world, since 99% consists of pure NaCl and only 1-1,5% are impurities that do not contain harmful elements.

The underground department of the speleosanatorium "Salt Symphony" is located in the salt mine at a depth of 288 meters and is intended for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of bronchopulmonary diseases. Simultaneously, 110 people aged from 6 to 60 years can recover here.

Today, treatment in the conditions of the microclimate of the salt mine is one of the most effective, natural, non-medicated methods of treatment. This is indicated by the figures: the effectiveness of treatment among adults is 70-85%, among children 85-95%. The complex includes medical rooms, games rooms, a dining room and sports grounds.

The main goal of the sanatorium is to move away from medical treatment, for each of the patients the specialists of the sanatorium develop a special individual program lasting from 80 to 220 hours. The healing properties of the unique microclimate of the salt mines have already been tested by 7000 patients.

The plans of the sanatorium management to create your own cinema, bowling hall, skating rink. A special effect is achieved in the treatment of children. The air in the salt mines is saturated with salt particles, the size of which is from 1 to 5 microns. The concentration of microparticles in 1 m cubic is up to 15 mg. Atmospheric pressure in the mine workings 772 mm Hg. the air humidity 60% and the temperature of 14-16 ° C all have a beneficial effect on the patients' well-being.
